Holey crap 85 bucks for the nose bleed seats at the United Center! There's one section that's $50, but wondering if they are obstructed somehow? I think this tour should be called the Sucker Fan Tour at the prices they are selling seats for. Yeah, I guess they are thinking two for the price of one, but unless they are planning to play for 5 hours or more, just not really feeling it. Summerfest won't let me in without a password from Sting's fan club, unless I pay $45 dollars to join. Extortion. May wait until the regular sale starts and see what happends or just do something else that weekend. Yeah, I know, I've done the VIP deals, but this whole thing just has a bad smell. Love ya Pete, like Sting well enough, but I have mentioned that I'm Pete's worst fan, right? Then again, Pete hasn't really done much for his fans in recent years. New works album aside, not even so much as a short full moon update since Pete's year of corporate things. OK, all this said, the shows that went on sale a few days ago the presale tickets are sold out. So, who am I to say, but those prices will leave a lot of fans out. As for me, I'm not joining Sting's fan club to see Peter Gabriel.

OK, it seems Sting's fans got first dibs, because now I'm seeing Peter's? I think they are making this far more difficult then it needs to be.

It's just sad, greedy and unnecessary. . . Sting is the right name for Sting. . . I have never had any interest in his music. Even though I think PG has made being a fan quite tortuous (and boring) for most of the last 10 years, I really don't mind what PG does/doesn't do. . . except constantly milk his fans with the same old stuff, repackaged in ever more expensive guises.

I've liked a lot of Sting's songs. Never posted on his fan site, or anyone else's. Not that I'm not a fan of other musicians, I am, but reading the forums.... Trust me, the biggest draw to Peter's forum were the fans he had and the fact that they could type in full sentences and talk about many things besides Peter. I suppose, some day I may have to cave in to big brother and start a facebook page to reconnect, but had really hoped they might find their way back here. As it is, I'm actually more excited to see District 97 perform next month at Reggie's in Chicago, then I am about the Sting/Peter thing. Now, if he had reconnected with even some of his old Genesis friends, put on a red dress and foxhead, or brought The Lamb back, I'd have front row tickets already. Hey, if you are going to rehash the old, why not go way, way back?! Fun as this concert may be, it's just not really getting there for me. Which is sad, as it couldn't be more convenient for me with two weekend shows available to pick from. At these prices, I will have to pick only one. Am thinking, if I want to get a seat I can really enjoy, I may do better waiting for the rest of the tickets to go on sale Monday morning.

I just had a look at the prices! Jeez! And a number of dates are sold out - no wonder they keep doing these bloody tours - I really do not understand. . .

I just had a look at the prices! Jeez! And a number of dates are sold out - no wonder they keep doing these bloody tours - I really do not understand. . . No kidding. Which is why I balked a bit, plus the hinky way the website was working and the attempts to get me to join Sting's fan club for an additional $45. Seriously? As it is, pre-sales generally don't offer all the tickets for sale at once, however they will likely sell out. I believe last time I did better when the regular sales opened then the pre-sale. Or at least, no worst. Just wasn't going to buy a Lawn1 without knowing what that meant. Might end up spending a bit more, but no VIP for me. Way too expensive for a few snacks, even if their is an autograph opportunity, just, sheesh...

Not sure I'm going. Finally got some tickets to come up that were worth buying, and it kicked me out as I was putting in my payment. Took a moment because I couldn't remember my password. Now I'm waiting in line, so-to-speak. About to just say "hope you have a good show, I'm not going to be there." much as they are battling the bots,a battle they are likely losing anyway, they are just making it harder for real people to actually get the best seats they can. Want to battle resale? Don't allow tickets to be transferred. So, much as I wanted to go, I may just say to he'll with this. Prices are already high, so no way I'm doing over inflated resale.

What a scam... we live in a world of the scammers and the scammed. Don't get scammed... mind you I probably wouldn't go to one of the gigs if I only had to cross the road.

Well, gave up on the covered seats and went with my first thought. Got a couple of lawn tickets. Says Lawn2, so I'm guessing it's one of the lawn sections just off center. Now to hope for nice weather. I'm thinking it's just as well. After all, the music will likely be good, but watching two old farts try to relive their youth on stage, might just be sad. Love ya Pete.

You'd go to see other Lunartics I bet. That's why I'm going, though since they don't post here, maybe I just wasted a few bucks. Though half of what I would have for covered seats behind a pole. And, what can one do? As it is, plenty of people are willing to pay a whole lot of money for these things. I'm thinking I'll be pretty happy up on the lawn with a friend, especially if the weather is good.

Actually, the lawn tickets were probably the best deal, as it includes general admission to Summer Fest. Which is twenty bucks on weekends by itself. So not so bad.
Anyone else going? Anyone getting the VIP levels. Having done it before, it was hard not to. Especially, at the United Center. The food they serve is outstanding!
Hoping to see some Lunartics in Milwaukie!

OK, not the most exciting thing that could be going on, but surely someone who's been lurking here has something to say....maybe....come join us. Maybe someone can convince Beef and I that we should be more excited about this. Especially as it stands to reason, that Europe is next for this particular event.

. . . I was just wondering about starting a new thread pondering what comes next from PG. . . lucky Europe! Other land masses hold their collective breaths. . .

For the hell of it I checked the resale option at the Ticketmaster site and well, sold out sorta. Lots of resale 790 at the United Center alone, and that one isn't sold out yet. Ouch. With the original prices high, not sure how well the resalers are going to do. I'm thinking there may be more empty seats then normal, especially some up front, or they may become a bargain at the last minute as they try to cut their losses.
