Del just google how to do it, we suspect it happens a lot so the mod is use to it Maybe he's unpleasant to a lot of other folks and they cancel, hence being used to it. I have disabled my adblock on this forum because they asked nicely. I am a member of the 'other' forum with a different identity and did a test with the adblock off - and there were no ads. Did anyone else see them before they paid for the gold membership? |

As the type of ads that Pro Boards uses have not been of the annoying type, ie: talkies, videos, popups and such, I haven't felt the need to spend the money to make the forum ad free. Pro boards does have to make money to host 'free' forums. Thankfully, they've chosen not to be annoying about it. I may be keeping the ad content down, as I am not making any money hosting this forum. There are ways to do so, but figure it's better to keep some things simple. Especially, as this was started as a place for friends, not a money making venture. Goes back to when the old Peter Gabriel forum closed. Although, many expressed interest early.... I have been very fortunate to have Beef (AKA Mr Beef of The Beefs) hanging around keeping me company. As, I'm not making money hosting this forum, so not under the pressure perhaps the other guy feels. More member than moderator. Hope to do very little real moderation, unless it becomes necessary. More importantly, be warned, on the occasions I do go on a real trip/holiday/vacation, you may have to watch my slide show when I get home.  Yes, I will trap you by inviting you over for homemade, secret recipe spinach rolls, hot crab dip, my own classic nachos, and you will find yourselves trapped in my living room watching slides (OK, the digital version on the TV or Telly).  |

That sounds perfect Zenrider :-) and I may just....... no.......... I will bore everyone to distraction talking bikes and posting clips :-)
On a serious note I did get a bit confused at one point (I'm an IT thicky), when I tried to download the phone app and it said that it cost less than $6.00 a month. I thought what? American dollars whats this all about? so I exited.
Looks like you have a great site here, friendly and cool. If things do get too large and Pro Boards start asking for money to host it then please do not hesitate to let the users know, we are all honest and honourable people and will not want to see anyone out of pocket.

I'm not sure what I can do, but is anyone having trouble viewing/navigating this website via their mobile phone's, etc. browser? |
