Very sad.
Took a while to respond, as some years ago I worked with a guy who on his first day of vacation of his last vacation, got so drunk he was falling asleep on his bar stool. So the bar, his local spot that he went to regularly, told him to go home. They didn't put him in a cab. None of his friends went with him, though even if they had offered, he probably would have said he was fine. Even so, they sent a guy who was passing out drunk, out in the cold. He was found in an alley the next morning. Not sure what the official report said, but basically a combination of alcohol and hypothermia. His relatives seemed more concerned that his money was missing, then he was dead. It was very sad.
