Impressive, and now days of work listening to all the so far unknow music Looks like you've been right with Sardinia (though Sardinias flag is red and white and Italy red, green and white) But can't find a connection to Iceland and Saturday Night Fever, still puzzling...

I didn't check and stand corrected, Sicgoe! Yes, I'm missing the Icelandic and Saturday Night Fever references too ...maybe Womad will reveal their thinking later! Good line up with which to be celebrating your 20th Womad?

Good line up with which to be celebrating your 20th Womad? Not sure about the disco connection - I was so sure it was going to be Tartit! (Tuareg band, lead singer Fadimata Walet Oumar - aka 'Disco') But it looks like John Grant lives in Iceland and works a lot with Icelandic musicians...dunno, never heard of him, to be honest...

But it looks like John Grant lives in Iceland and works a lot with Icelandic musicians...dunno, never heard of him, to be honest... Hi Jimhxn, Mrs SC and I are a bit of John Grant fans, I saw him at a recording of Later with Jools and also in Cambridge. When I first heard him, his singing voice reminded me of Rufus Wainwright. He can be a bit up himself
