Physics Pavillion - amended wording: "We like to ensure that WOMAD continues to blow your mind, so this year we are bringing you the brand new Physics Pavilion. In conjunction with CERN, the creators of the large hadron collider, Lancaster University, the Science Museum, and the Institute of Physics. With explosive experiments and fizzing facts, from dark matter to the science behind Dr who, the Physics pavilion will be answering cosmic questions from across the universe. Get your geek on because this is going to be epic. Opening the weekend with a bang, scientist Matthew Tosh will present his passion for pyrotechnics by explaining the physics behind fireworks. Joining him will be scientists from CERN, (home of the biggest science discovery in the 21st century – the Higgs Boson particle) who will be covering a range of subjects including space dust, anti and dark matter and why the Higgs Boson is so important. If time travel is more your thing make sure you catch Dr Who screenwriter Steven Moffat on Sunday, he will be swinging by to talk with physicist Roger Jones about the science in the hit BBC TV show, if you’re a Dr Who fan this is a chance of a lifetime. The physics pavilion has a jam-packed programme all weekend with talks, workshops, comedy, music and a live link to the CERN headquarters. Whether you are a nerd or a newbie, there will be something for everyone." ... we hope Helen is still coming!

Yep, looks ok and I'm sure it will be good but I was wondering what they are passing off as 'prime techno timbre' amongst those listed DJ's.

Cal loves the idea of the Physics Pavillion and thinks it's brill and may ended up spending the whole of WOMAD in the Physics Pavillion
Del would like to point out that he can create a cloud in a tent depending on how much curry he's had

For reference: www.adlerplanetarium.org/adler-after-dark/I don't go to all of them, but I do recommend if you are in Chicago on the third Thursday of the night, and can get and print a ticket... Go, definitely, Go.

The womad phone app. Great in 2014, rubbish in 2015 unless you had an iPhone. Let's hope the womad pixies listened to comments from last year and provide a phone app worth downloading. Oh, and let's hope there is decent wi fi connection for all. It all helps to make our womad better to research, better to plan and lots more enjoyment.

It won't just be on the app, surely? It'll be on the main website too? Please let it be on the main website soon too!
