Never take wellies jamboyati, always a sturdy pair of boots man, me. You cannot dance at festivals if wearing wellies (although I am sure there are plenty who will disagree with me). Neither do I take an umbrella, especially after seeing the dancing umbrellas blocking the main stage for bellow head last year 😡. Only need my leightweight pack able regatta raincoat with hood. Absolute bargain for 7.99 from the local heart research charity shop 😀

BBC showing light rain for Malmesbury 11am - 4pm tomorrow and Friday morning till at least 10am and returning late evening....... Saturday and Sunday look rain free - yippee!!! |

I was sure it was raining for bellow head and there were lots of umbrellas bobbing up and down right in front of the stage. Perhaps I dreamt it or it was at another festival or was another band completely. I confess to having taken up the offer of sheltering under umbrellas in the past and very welcome it has been too. Let's all hope that we do not see any umbrellas this year, front of stage, side, back or anywhere else, because 2016 is going to be rain free (apart from a little drizzle tomorrow)😎

Bring the rain gear to keep the rain away! Here's hoping the weather guessers are wrong and it's much drier than their guessing looks. And perhaps a touch warmer too.
Agree umbrellas can be annoying in crowds and especially around stages.

Zenrider, wish you were coming too Me too, but heck, I'm not even going to Lollapalooza (same weekend as WOMAD) and that's only an hour and a half away. It sells out every year before I can make up my mind. Plus there is no camping and hotels in Chicago that weekend price gouge horribly. And since I've pretty much spent my budget for that this year.  I'm thinking 2018 is probably the most realistic year I could make it, and that will be dependent on when I can get vacation time. BUT!!!! I am super excited for all of you!!! |
