I missed Marie Boine a couple of years ago so would love to see her. Orange Blossom really hit the button for me last year, so happy to see them again. Drummers of Burundi are always fabulous entertainment. Yes about time we had the Drummers of Burundi back and we regret missing Orange Blossom so second you on both of those!

My suggestion of Zaz is probably unlikely but someone who may be at Womad next year is Marlon Williams. He played Womad in Australia and New Zealand so thought he may have in uk this year, previously collaborated with Delaney dickenson who was Womad last year. For anyone who has not heard him he is an New Zealand singer songwriter who has the most incredible singing voice.

Totally agree with that bean stew. Nice to see such talent not taking themselves too seriously, enjoying the performance and entertaining the audience. The neutral milk hotel cover was especially good, once they managed to sort out playing in the right key.

She seems like such a thoroughly decent person too. Might be a bit in love with her. 😍

Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band. Seen Eliza solo or as a duet a couple of times and she has been good but with the Wayward Band at Purbeck she was amazing - really wowed the crowd with a very visual, lively and engaging performance (made up for the Proclaimers the night before who lacked charisma and had no rapport with the audience) .

Just dry weather and sunshine please, determined to give Womad another go as I was very disappointed with Shambala.

.. Purpledawn, dry and warm and dancing to the beat of her own drum and being happily distracted by shiny things.... You never know, that would be nice. I think that I must have had to give Shambala one more try to realise how good Charlton Park venue is. Not sure how I'll get there as my daughter is due to give birth to second grandson anytime but already thinking about logistics
