Pool noodles reduced to ยฃ3 in Tesco today so very excited to announce that our "facilities" will be receiving an "upgrade" this year! ๐ I initially speed read that as pot noodles and couldn't work out how this was an upgrade! ๐๐๐- someone else read it as "poo noodles" - which was a perhaps little more accurate! Oh & BTW - POT noodles are also on offer at 50p each!! ๐

I'm a devotee of the Travel John myself, but I love your bucket ingenuity, especially the loo roll attachment. Well done!

I have travel Johns too & bog-in-a-bag & a she-wee! (Cover-all-bases) - up until now it's just been a plain ole' bucket & lid - this year we've got a bit of comfy luxury!
(Much to the horror of my 12 year old daughter who refuses to use the bucket!)

La Di Da loos are my guilty pleasure for Womad. The current hot weather is nice but cooler weather can have its benefits, in particular keeping toilet facilities a little less whiffy

I see there's a warning sign on the side fourgomad... but is there a risk of losing balance? Or plastic fatigue leading to bucket crumple and collapse? And what to do with the deposit? Fertiliser?

Thinking that sponge rim may get a bit grim

After going to India In 2009 I needed to buy spa tickets because I was made chronically ill whilst there. It took 3 years to recover but as a result I can say the spa showers were mostly great and flush toilets amazing. Silly price otherwise.

You have my sympathy, last year I came back from India with a parasite (giardia). Pretty rotten travelling back and did not get it diagnosed until about 2 months later. All sorted now ๐ A few few years back I came back from Thailand, and went through the customs to declare channel. Told him I have worms is that ok, he said yes of course. They are not classed the same as raw/cooked meat so good to bring back to the Uk (providing they have been shallow fried)

I have a bucket with a toilet seat lid but don't use it these days as I handed it over to my daughter for her and my grandchild. She uses sawdust and chemical toilet fluid with a bin-bag to catch the nasties. I also have a She-Wee (little used) and a bottle with a woman friendly attachment and screw lid fastening which is invaluable. I have always found Womad loos ok to use for number 2's, but sometimes 'stage fright' gets the better of me Anyway, good luck with your pool ring invention fourgomad
