That is a lovely tent PD. I really like the blacked out bedrooms (nice and cool in the morning sun) and the hinged door. If we were still in a tent, I'd be experiencing full on tent envy having watched that!!!! You're not having to lug it on public transport though are you? No to public transport question jax2000, my friend Pete is giving me a lift. He's promised to carry the heavy stuff to site too I couldn't do that these days, at the weekend I travelled to Liverpool to Africa Oye and it took all my strength to lift my chair, a small weekend case and a small tent on and off the bus and train.

Self inflating mattress arrived today - I'm going to put it on top of the camp bed for extra insulation against cold and general cosiness and comfort. Toaster thingy to go on gas stove was bought some time ago. And the new tent - big enough for personal space and room to share with Womad Forum Camp neighbours and visitors. And the trolley with no name. And some other things on order. And solar power lights are tested and working. And I can't wait to be there...........................

I must remeber to buy some new wellies. It was on the Thursday morning last year that I discovered my old wellies had big splits in and were letting in water. Malmesbury had already completely sold out of wellies by then, not surprisingly, so I had to resort to wearing walking boots. But it's not goung to rain this year, is it?

Invested in a fleece yesterday, decided too old to cope with late evenings when temperature drops. Also a vango water jerry can, sturdy and large (not suitable for hiking), pricey at £13 but fed up with taking collapseable containers, find they leak then have to spend a fortune on an even poorer quality item on site.
Was looking at the Brasher fleeces. Cheaper copies of crag hoppers, even down to the logo. Stopped looking at them when I saw they were made in Myanmar.

I don't think I'll get to retrieve my flag from storage for Womad this year. The whole thing will be a wonder if what is needed actually gets brought! First Womad for new tent - big; plenty of space, separate rooms - good for people who have different tolerances for tidy/messy and opposing sleeping patterns. I can put it up on my own, which is a good thing because I'll probably have to; I miss the teamwork with Deepishthought - had it all down to a T! I suppose WPK can bring the next trolley load while I get on with the tent... or he'll just wander off, 'cause that's his thing! Anyway, no flag, but tent is very orange, so that'll be useful for picking out. I take it we are pitching in the same place again? I'm aiming to be there and ready for gates open 8am Thursday (this may prove a tad ambitious, but I'm sticking to it) - anyone else? Do we have any newcomers to the camp? Any forum posters or lurkers who would like to join? don't worry about the team workingy there will be loads of us around to make as mess of thing, poke things in the wrong holes and tie you down
