Right... just ordered a new kettle. Trangia 25. The Small Blue Kettle of Limited Capacity has been a faithful Womad companion since 2008, but its design doesn't make it easy to pack into a rucksack* with everything else. Onwards, to kettles new * And talking of rucksacks, just ordered a new rucksack too! The 85 litre one I bought a couple of years ago was ok, but the straps weren't very well padded, and the diaphragm between the upper and lower compartments has more or less ripped away so it is basically just one compartment now. I'm a little nervous of getting a rucksack without ever picking it up and examining it, trying it on etc, but there is nothing in any of the local shops that I like, and this one has some good reviews (eg www.nomadtravellers.com/travel-gear/travel-backpack-highlander-discovery-85-liter-review) so I bit the bullet. It should arrive by Friday, so fingers crossed ... you're still gonna be wearing your trademark hat and leather jacket though? *some things never change, nor should they. Having said that, it may be a tad warm for the jacket.... fab t-shirts will still be worn too? hmmmmm Del wonders if you can tie dye leather................................

Don't forget to bring toilet paper, just in case the loos can't keep up with the demand.
