The Specials are definitely not playing at Charlton Park . I posted on Womad Facebook asking if there was any truth in the rumour about The Specials and they denied it completely very quickly saying that the full line up has been finalised and made public . Perhaps the journalist who posted this looked at the wrong Womad site as research - they played at Womad New Zealand !

The Womad app is being released some time next week, containing the timetable in full. But it sounds like we'll have to wait for this to find out who's playing when and who clashes with who etc - the timetable isn't going up on the website beforehand.

Quick Question - I've never used the App, as I've always wanted to save power on my phone, but does the App give us anything not available from the paper programmes?

The Womad app is being released some time next week, containing the timetable in full. But it sounds like we'll have to wait for this to find out who's playing when and who clashes with who etc - the timetable isn't going up on the website beforehand. Quick Question - I've never used the App, as I've always wanted to save power on my phone, but does the App give us anything not available from the paper programmes? I don't think I used the app much last year. I think it enabled you to note which acts you planned to see which built up an itininerary for the weekend. But I preferred to use my colour coded spreadsheet! Also it listed the foodstalls with a description of the food on offer - I don't think the program has this. Ruby found this useful, as she's gluten-free, as she could get an idea beforehand of which stalls to go for, rather than just going for what looks and smells good, as I do.
