Some good stuff lined up. A few familiar names but lots of others to look up. I'm particularly excited about seeing Goat! And Thursday evening should be a good start with Bixiga 70 and Orchestra Baobab. Have they said who's on what day?? Awesome Yes Orchestra Baobab would be a great start on Thursday that's a "Must see" ............... oh bugger

Delighted with Eliza and Oumou Sangare - two of our faves and our (nearly) son in law has been saying for ages that we just have to see Goat. So yes, getting excited!

Hello all. The line up is looking great. Orchestra Baobab on thurs. That'll set the pace for the weekend. They played before. May have been around '08, the sunny year when Squeeze played and Eddie Grant and Dengue Fever. I would like to see Lila Downs come and hold up the flag for Mexico against territorial xenophobia. Did she not play at Rivermead? Lost in the canyons of my mind (ibid Bonzos) somewhere. ๐

Did she not play at Rivermead? Lost in the canyons of my mind (ibid Bonzos) somewhere. ๐ My hypothesis on the issue of Mexicans some seem to have, has less to do the jobs they may or may not take, comes from banks. Without proper research I can only call this a hypothesis and not a theory, but based on my experience, Mexicans largely save and pay cash for about everything. That doesn't make banks any money, nor can anyone hold debt over their heads. Of course the banks can't state that, so the subterfuge of job taking, and criminal activity is what they get some worked up about. Am I way off? Or is this a credible thought?
