Hi folks me & my missus got engaged last year and we got in touch with Womad about getting married there back in September last year but no one got back to us. Does anyone know if it is possible to do so? We would be happy if it wasnt a legal ceremony

Yes you can and I am sure it is legal. One of the forum users from a few years ago did it. Pretty sure someone here will still have there details. I think it cost a lot as all guests needed a ticket, I think they had their own area and marquee, but I could be wrong on all counts  someone here will know. Good luck and best wishes |

Yummy Mummy got legally married in Malmesbury somewhere, (as I don't think Womad is licenced to perform the ceremony) but then all her guests attended Womad as a huge four day reception! She and her husband were given a nights glamping by Womad.

Hiya. I had a Womad Wedding in 2013. We got married at Abbey House Gardens in Malmeabury on the Wednesday with just immediate family then invited our friends and family on mass to join us for the festival and held a reception on the Thursday. Womad appointed us our own Wedding Co-Ordinator, Janine Kelly, who was amazing, but unfortunately I know she's now left.
I don't remember who my first point of contact was now - I think maybe Rebecca Jones. I could check my old e-mails if it would help. Womad seem most responsive on Facebook these days? Have you tried messaging/posting on there? X
