Chucking it down here in Berkshire with a bit of thunder thrown in.
As I'm only 90 minutes from Charlton Park maybe the site is getting a soaking making it easier to stick in our pegs

I hope your pegs are biodegradable, especially if you're camping on the runway.

Massive storm in the night here in Suffolk, half an hour of lightning all round, bursts of torrential rain. Unplugged broadband and phone for safety! At least it's all over now.
Sunny but breezy this morning

A risky strategy globestyle! Not if you then bring the shed to Womad! Which is what I seem to do every year... by public transport.

Looks like a mixed bag now, the odd light shower. Wellies or walking boots plus sandals. Everything!

Wht is the point of long range festival weather forecasts. For months we had forecast of wall to wall sunshine, albeit a bit overcast at times and greatest risk was to wear plenty of sun cream or get frazzled. Now as we get closer to the date and greater accuracy can be expected, there is increasingly more rain forecast over the weekend. At the moment does not look too bad, usual festival weather we expect and and cope with.

I fall into the trap of looking at the long range weather forecast a few weeks before Womad, but I should know better as it always seems to change a lot before the few days preceding the Womad weekend. It's been a pretty soggy weekend here in SN16. Yesterday the temperature barely got above 14 degrees! Although the forecast is for a bit of a drier spell coming up, it's likely the ground will be quite soft on Thursday. I'm not a camper, but I guess that this will make it easier for hammering in those tent pegs!
