I was behind the Mixing desk at Clap Clap. I wondered what had happened, just saw the two guys frantically plugging stuff in. I assumed a piece of equipment had failed and they were replacing it! Clap Clap what they lacked in quality musicianship was replaced more than amply with splendid entertainment and party time Great fun gig Reminded me of the Punk days, with Punk shouting loud and clear, "You don't need to have had a Private Education to be a star, anyone can have a go" Clap Clap had that spirit, inspiring those in the audience to start up their own band and just to have fun on stage Loved it

One of the greatest WOMAD moments of all time was seeing the Tanzanian Albino Collective perform. These guys had never previously been to mainland Tanzania let alone abroad. The gig was introduced by their record producer by stating "This ain't a Celine Dion gig. It will probably be shit.š"

Whilst you were all dancing to Afro celts, I stayed dry in the Siam and saw Seu Jorge performing his versions of David Bowie songs from the life aquatic. It was a highlight, the beauty of his songs performed acoustically by Seu Jorge. Such a feel good moment at the end, ended up hugging the family next to me.

Mrs SC and I were planning to do half ACSS and half Seu Jorge, we kept dancing at ACSS, sounds like we missed a classic

Really great meeting many of the forum members, introduced by Del. Sorry I missed meeting you SC, I know you were there in the crowd for for Maarja Nuut but was not wearing a distinctive enough shirt to be able to spot you. BTW, I was sat on the speaker base next to Del at the time.

Chico Trujillo, at the back to the left of the sound desk, where everyone was dancing with everyone and grinning like dancin' fools. Womad Love :-)

I thought the music this year was fantastic, best since Womud 2007 - did a bit of listening in advance for the first time this year which definitely helped avoid the duds. All of the 25 or so acts I saw on Thurs- Saturday were excellent as were most of Sunday's, although I was running out of energy by then!
Best for me were Officina Zoe, who I saw twice, thanks to Inna De Yard 'having their visas cancelled' - is that even possible?! The love song from the Tanzanian albino was one of the most emotional things I have experienced.
My Fitbit recorded 220,000 steps over the four days or roughly 110 miles, most of it dancing!

I may have misheard this, but I'm sure I heard Sean Kuti shout at the start of his act something like 'Hello Swindon Town!'. I was a little confused! Maybe Sean is a fan of the free-flowing football exhibited by the newly relegated League 2 side, and it was a rallying cry for the impending start of the football season.

I agree with Full Moon , Officina Zoe were also my favourite band of the weekend . I also loved another Italian band , Vesevo who played Radio 3 stage on Sunday night . Many other highlights too , it was another good year and yes Lunartic you did hear right when Seun Kuti shouted " hello Swindon Town " . They are my team so it made me smile !
