Just a bit of fun, now I am getting rid of the motorbike, it's messed up my youtube channel, so time for something new and a bit of a laugh (and safe). Haven't sorted out the Graphics etc on the Channel or how to fade out music or how to set the Subscribe Button under the new YouTube , but hey, thought I let you guys see a preview and yes it is meant to be cheap and tacky

Careful with the records, the older ones are very fragile and can snap very easily. You are also supposed to change the needle on every play.

Bloomin marvellous, I bet Cerys would like to take a look in that box. I know too my cost how fragile old 78's are - I smashed a copy of Little Richard's Good Golly Miss Molly in 1970's and have regretted it ever since partly because it belonged to my uncle who's long dead. I spotted a more recent LP in a charity shop today - Please Please Me, The Beatles priced at a mere £200! I must ask mum where her copy is but I bet she wouldn't want to sell it.

Cheers guys, really touched, so kind, I was planning to start in a couple of weeks once I had sorted things out a bit more but Beef put a track up on Full Moon Pub/ Go where the song takes you/ and what I was planning fitted perfectly, so I posted a draft to you guys. Really glad you enjoyed it Maybe it won't be a draft any longer It's only a bit of fun

Some many gems to discover, thanks SC and Smurf.
Did enjoy Cerys's show when she had DJ78 guesting on her show. He had records that were pre vinyl and Bakelite. Many of his were made from shellac.
Edited as as I do not where I got Bakelite from 😲

Well "Ever So Goosey" by Jack Morrison that I played in my clip was released in 1929, an incredible 88 years ago! The record is very rigid so I guess it's not vinyl www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/nc979746uk

Fantastic. Could hear the click of the crack/scratch but not that noticeable once the volume of the song picked up.
Cannot fault George Formby (youngest ever jockey to compete in the British isles, by the way). When he toured South Africa, he refused to play to segregated audiences and was lucky to get out alive (deported). A top man and being non-pc does not apply, just very very funny 😂

Good stuff, SC.
Also impresed by your choice of shirts - are you planning to wear a different one each week, or does the nunber of shirts in you wardrobe not extend that far?

Good question Let's see You'll just have to keep watching Tragic the "Loud as you Like" wasn't at Womad this year, they were my annual Womad shirt purchase
