The YouTube app dropped off my ageing Smart TV a while ago (as did the Spotify app, which I hadn't used anyway). With that in mind and the very real possibility of more apps disappearing as they decide to stop supporting my TV, I've just got an Amazon Fire TV stick (Amazon were kind enough to offer a £15 discount to LoveFilm subscribers (to say sorry for them stopping that service in a few weeks)), which means I have YouTube on the tellybox again! Looking forward to finally starting the GG viewing adventure soon! GG hopefully restarting next Friday. Apologies for the delay 😀 Missing GG a lot!

GG hopefully restarting next Friday. Apologies for the delay 😀 Missing GG a lot! PD I had wanted to get a few weeks in hand for GG and our holiday, so it would simply continue whilst I was away. But life conspired against that happening 😀

Thanks SC - great intro - thought it was the sound of applause at first... good point - when and why did the concept of A and B side appear? Now part of history already... I can just imagine that laughing being incorporated into the dance back in 1931... This one made me think of Laurel and Hardy's early early 30s films (their peak years)... anyone else here a fan?

Worth the wait, thank you. Interesting to note that Jolly's partner wasn't worthy of being named though. I like the old record sleeves with the adverts. You may, (or may not), be interested to learn I used to work for Decca when I was in my teens, admin assistant to Service Manager in their Radio & TV service department. He was horrible, Cambridge educated and thought he was above everyone else, but the good rates of pay and discount on records made up for it. I expect he's dead now - after all it was 43 years ago

I can just imagine that laughing being incorporated into the dance back in 1931... This one made me think of Laurel and Hardy's early early 30s films (their peak years)... anyone else here a fan? Thanks Beef, I was going to use "Jupiter" by the socialist Gustav Holst, who hated the words of "I vow to thee my Country" as it was fundamentally against what he personally believed. But he was commissioned to put the poem to music, and so wasted no time in just tweaking his existing tune "Jupiter" from the Planets (which is NOT about planets, or astrology, that was just reverse engineered after it was written, but rather it was about Holst's fear of the machine and automation and the impact that will have on the human and humanity). Anyway with that in mind, playing "Jupiter" and then flushing a toilet, would kind of represent the state of the UK: Built of a false promise (Holst did not believe in it), Patriotic feelings (I vow to thee my Country, waving your flags etc), and Flushing (It's all going down the shitter, Brexit, Intolerance and extremes). So I was rather pleased, but then bottles it as who would have understood what I was saying unless I stated it? and a joke or statement explained isn't worth it, and so I went for Rigoletto - Verdi instead, Just looking at this weeks recording ............. same thing has happened ........... bottled it because of politics Off for a hair cut hopefully enough time to hit this evenings deadline
