I've just looked at the line up. Some great acts there, the likes of Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker, Orange Mandalin, Oumare Sangare and the Peatbog and others. Looks fab
Damn it, wouldn't mind going. But long way. Technically have driven to Glasgow in 6 hours before although 7.5 more realistic. Maybe one day

So we didn't

I stayed in the Premier Inn not far from Bon Accord pub in Glasgow (stopped off on way to Knoydart) for really cheap price (maybe £20) as booked in advance. There were conditions attached. In the end my mate couldn't make it and I had to forge his signature as booking in his name. Anyway, deals are potentially out there. Just a shame event is in January, not ideal time of year if I want to combine with some walking.
Have seen a few clips of CC online before so no doubt will check again

Not tempted to take Van SC? thought about it there is a site that we could take it to, but it would mean driving in and out of Glasgow or taxi back and forth which is not much fun, when you just want to pop back to change your socks! So we didn't I guess if I travelled by myself the train option seems plausible. Get the overnight sleeper, assuming stops off in Glasgow. But with one other you would save massively by driving price wise. However, public transport option clearly better for our green and pleasant land

you could fly up
you then have to get from the airport into the city
We walk to the the station in Paisley around 20 mins cheaper than a taxi and just as quick as waiting and getting the transfer bus to the station
