I see there’s been no mention of Musicport in Whitby which was over the weekend of 20-22 Oct. The music was eclectic, weather was kind and the beer reasonably priced. Stand out performances from :- Rafiki Jazz, Amaraterra, Trio da Kali, Afro Celts, Maia Barouh (fantastic discovery for me)Omar Puente, Benjamin Zephaniah, Maya Youssef with her qanum and many more. Beer at the venue was £3 a pint take note Womad. A great festival, all indoors and an opportunity to see acts in a smaller venues. I believe tickets are on sale for next year.

Mmmm a possible for me. My mum lives near York so could combine with a visit to her. With the African thing in Trafalgar Square could make October a busy month☺
