Del has found a new malt and it's lovely stuff and it's only £22 from Sainsburys #Bargain

My money is on the Kilchomen...... I did the distillery visit this year and they have a wonderful approach to making whisky with a large percentage of the barley being grown in the surrounding fields. I HAD! a distillery bottled 2008 which was supposed to site on our bookshelf to be admired but needless to say once it was opened it was sooooooo nice it didn't last.

You all are going to make a Scotch drinker out of me. As it is, I'm a bit limited as to what is available, without breaking the budget. The only Laphroiag readily available is the 10 year, but it suffices. Otherwise, E&J VSOP Brandy is a more economical choice and perhaps better for colds.

Invested in a bottle of laphroaig yesterday. An early Christmas present for myself and worth it. The difference between a single malt which you appreciate and savour the flavour and taste and a blended whisky which so often is only good as a mixer (IMO).
That is not to ignore whisky with an ‘e’. Irish whiskey is pretty good stuff and I do have a bit of a passion for Paddy whiskey. Unfortunately, Paddy is often hard to get find outside the Republic.
