as there are only 104 days until WOMAD uk we thought it was about time we started a thread on this years weather
it may be too far off for the Met office to predict what weather we will be enjoying but that has never stop the rest of us checking pine cones, prone cows and or various body part to predict the weather
We are a bit worried that the cold, wet, windy and dull spring will continue into a cold, wet, windy and dull summer. Reports that the gulf stream is at it coldest it has ever been (since recording began) it doesn't look too good. Sadly bad weather will hit all the music festivals in the UK including WOMAD which is never a good thing.
hopefully spring will get it's act together and the summer will make up for the weather at the start of the year.

The oxfam stall at Womad is fantastic and well worth checking out on a regular basis. There were a brand new pair of scarpa men’s walking boots there last year. Only a tenner or so, as opposed to the pair I had bought a month earlier which cost £120. Unfortunately a size too small for me.

I suppose I shouldn't really mention that I bought two pairs of scarpa walking boots, neither pair had been worn, from a very popular online auction site for £12 and £15 respectively, but maybe you'll find something similar for yourself; wish you luck, anyway. Charity / pre-loved online sites and shops are where I get most of my stuff from - makes sense to me; win-win.

I am just glad that they must have got snapped up, someone else got a great pair of boots and oxfam got well needed funds. Just pointing out that bargains are out there if you look for them 😀😀🙂 more upset at your injured heel and hope it continues improving.

Thanks for the good wishes - my 50 min bus journey to and from work, and long days sat on my fat arse means my heel is now getting plenty of rest and a chance to heal properly - I hope!

Wishing you good weather this year, but can't make it happen every year. You do know, if I ever do make it over, make sure you are as weather proof as possible that year.

Is it too early to be looking at the long range weather forecast?

We have be basking in glourios sunshine for the last week but we can help but notice soon south it has been a little bit wet
At the least the grass at WOMAD will be lush and the tent pegs will go into the ground without too much trouble
