no AC for us, just curtains drawn to block out the sunlight and window open to left the cool air flow through the house These days in most of the states it would be had for live without AC. It's currently in the mid twenties at near midnight. Crazy.

BBC site now shows rain showers early Saturday morning and late Saturday night. No rain on the Thursday or Friday.
Gonna need that jackhammer to get the tent pegs in.

As we get closer to the big day (does anyone know how many are left until Womad Thursday?) and forecasts get more accurate, it now looks like we will not have any rain from tomorrow until Womad Sunday.

Still no rain here!
Trouble is we're on clay here, so the ground turns to brick on the rare occasions we have hot and dry weather like this. Our garden is developing huge cracks in the flower beds:
You could lose a small child in there!

Aw, Rendrags, that's not nice - wishing you a few good downpours to restore your blooms.

Ha ha, I'd need rescuing pretty quickly if forced to watch a Cliff Richard gig There are varying long range weather reports so I'm not looking until next week.

I did see Cliff at the Knebworth 1990 Nordoff Robbins show... I wasn't looking forward to his set, but it was with the Shadows, they did some classics, a few old rock n roll tunes and not much of his later nonsense. I ended up really quite enjoying it
