Especially for lunar tics , we’re going to be treated to a lunar eclipse on Friday evening 27 July just as Leftfield take to the stage and being full moon, a guiding moonlight to find our tent in the small hours. It’s been dubbed ‘blood moon ‘. I’m banking on clear skies 🌕

Some good useful info on Friday's Lunar Eclipse (and special guest, Mars!) here: ras.ac.uk/news-and-press/news/rare-red-moon-and-mars-evening-sky-27-july"Skywatchers have a double treat in store on 27 July: the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century and Mars at its brightest for many years. The red planet and the (temporarily) red Moon will appear together in the same part of the sky after sunset." [...] "In the coming eclipse, people in the UK will see the Moon rise in the south-eastern sky already completely immersed in the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow, the umbra. Moonrise is at 20:49 BST in London, and 21:26 in Glasgow. The Moon should by those times have an obvious red colour, and become easier to spot as the sky darkens. Mid-eclipse is at 21:21 BST, and the total phase ends at 22:13. The Moon leaves the umbra completely at 23:19 BST, and the eclipse ends when it exits the penumbra at 00:30 the following morning."

Loved the way the part eclipsed moon started coming out from behind the clouds as John Lydon's voice sang out on Leftfield's Open Up "Open up, make room for me Now open up, make room for me" Perfect words for the clouds to part and make room for the moon, Classic Womad Moment
