Hello all, this isn't for me but a pal needs to collect his son from Kemble station as the shuttle bus no longer operates from there. Does anyone know if you can drive off park and camp and return easily please?

yea you can leave BUT take your park and camp ticket print off with you as there is nothing on the car to show that you are in park and camp. Im picking up Rachel on the Friday, either from her car in the main car park or the station.

Ok, thanks for replies. I don't want to alarm anyone but my pal rang the Womad box office and they said no, so pal's son is changing trains to arrive at Chippenham for the shuttle bus! DT I would assume that it depends on how friendly and understanding the stewards are. My daughter asked them last year if she could leave to go to the chemists to get Calpol for teething grandson if she ran out and they said if necessary that would be ok. I think you just have to be assertive without being aggressive. They can't keep folks prisoners can they?

I had no issues last year or the year before, both times to pick Rachel up. The moment some prat drives at speed thro park and camp will kill for us all. You can leave red parking so why not park and camp? Their answer will be mixing vehicles and tents, which is true but sensible dead slow speed.
Like you say we are not prisoners. Im in Meadow park and camp this year so we will see as that is a different entrance. There is no mention of it on the ticket.

My daughter says that the way vehicles are parked in park and camp is so that you can leave easily if necessary so one person driving out slowly and carefully won't make much difference. I think the 'no' answer was from someone in the box office who feared a mass exodus to the off-licence or their drug dealers if he/she said 'yes'.

We have been in Meadow park and camp each time and again this year. While there isnt a stream of cars I have definitely seen public cars moving at times.

If we took two cars and left one in a main car park rather than in Park and camp - can we go in and out of the main car park? Red I assume? We need access to get in and out frequently

We need access to get in and out frequently Yes you can, once you have a wristband, you can go to the Car Park as often as you want. Most people upon arrival leave all their gear in the car, as the trollies are hired by the hour, people queue up to get in and get a wrist band, then walk straight out again, hire a trolly and return to their cars to unload. So no problem at all, anytime over the weekend, just make sure you don't loose your wristband!
