Wishing everyone a nice full moon cycle.
The past one has been a rough one for me.
Have a friend with four more chemo treatments left to battle cancer. She says she's going to be fine.
My Favorite Aunt had about 80% of a large tumour removed from her brain last Friday. She was still more out of it than not when I visited Sunday and left a care package. If I get off early enough tonight I may stop again on my way home. She still has the ventilator in her throat, though she's able to breathe on her own. Her daughter, my cousin, says she's more responsive. Obviously, she can't talk with the ventilator in her throat. They may remove that soon. She will have to do a course of chemo or radiation to shrink what's left. It's cancerous, so Sadly a temporary fix, but will take any extra time science will give us.
To top it off, my stepfather started an immune therapy for liver cancer. It's his best chance for at least remission, with only a 7% chance of potential cure.
So, needless to say, I'm going for be in a fairly constant state of worry for a while. I'm optimistic for at least the short term.
I'm still planning to do some fun things that I had planned this weekend, but may have to eat a ticket for Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour, as I bought them not knowing if anyone else could go, but figured I'd have a backup between my Aunt and my Mother to fill it. Unfortunately, they are both occupied on that day.
Not to be a bummer, but sometimes life is like that.
Guy is doing well and still makes me laugh.
