Time to put everything politically correct to one side and to enjoy being European while we can or flick the Vs one last time to our Europe

Hopefully I'll be watching, may not happen as we have friends around for dinner, but it will be fun if we fit it in. Obviously it's sensitive, but equally, many many other Countries are far worse. By being inclusive and tolerant we can make change. www.amnesty.org/en/countries/ |

We have birthday celebration Eurovision party this evening. It's a double birthday today - Ruby and daughter Claire. Claire's boyfriend is here, and eldest son is over from Norway, so it's a busy day! We will have our scoresheets at the ready for the excitement this evening.
Saw the semi finals last week - it's a bit of a mixed bag, as usual. Wouldn't be surprised if Australia win - it's absoultely bonkers, but the staging is very effective and I can see it getting lots of votes. Iceland is a bit weird - lots of growling and bondage gear! My favourite is Norway - a stonking Eurovision song with some Sami yoiking, it will be geting my vote!  |

Has turned my stomach since I was a kid, watching intently thinking it was going to be a contest about the best music across Europe...
And looking back I think it's probably contributed to the trivialisation of Europe, culturally and politically.
Having said that I haven't watched it in years, so maybe it is/will be a big up yours to all the wannabe facists across Europe...
