I'm thinking of investing in some new ear protectors this year. The ones I currently have aren't terribly effective, and stick out of my ears making me look as though I've got some strange abnormal growth from each lughole!
Just wondering whether anyone could recommend some in-ear ear protectors/plugs? Beef, am I right in thinking you posted a link to some last year? (Sorry if I've got this wrong..)

Good point - I think this would be a good idea for me as well. 😀

I bought the ones at lunchtime that Mikey suggested, in blue. Looking forward to them arriving.

Thanks Mikey and Del for your links.
Difficult to choose between the two. Went for the Alpine ones in the end. Looking forward to trying them out!

Ouch!

Sorry for my pineful joke Rendrags - fir some reason I thought it might be funny to confuse them with pine cones... anyway, I'm sure the Alpine ones are great though. I've not tried them but I bought a pair of these after a particularly loud gig - Senner MusicPro hearing protection earplugs for concerts, music, festivals and clubs, with aluminium box, blue/transparent www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01FSO0020/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DAglDbC3Q88N6They seem fine, although I worry about dropping them - don't think I would be able to find them in the busy dark at a gig.

Lightning deal on amazon if you are quick. like you, always worried about falling out but they have stayed in place so far.

Del has never had a problem with them falling out even in a mosh pit, mind you try to pick them out at the end of the night can be a bit tricky especially if you have been re hydrating with ale

My Senner Music Pro in blue ones arrived today. Two sets - can anyone elaborate - no mention in the accompanying leaflet? One set with blue and one without - is the one without a spare? Very comfy, I have to say! I split both of the protective bags I'm meant to keep them in - careful as I was, trying to get them back inside. The natty capsule is cool, though I have had to lube it up to get rid of the teeth on edge squeaking as I unscrewed and unscrewed it. A bit confused, but very happy. Thanks for the recommendation Mikey! No way would I find one if it went floorwards at night! We think they are different strengths, they will lower a different range of frequencies. there them out and stick with the ones you like best. when you wear them you should only be able to tell they are working when you take them out as they should just reduce the sound levels not muffle the sound
