Hossam was one of the great masters of Arabic percussion and played on countless albums including my first "world music" album City of Light back in the late 1980s...
Really enjoyed seeing him play at Womad CP about 10 years ago.. with his wife belly dancing...

Went to a belly dance workshop with him years..no decades ago..such fun remember with delight and fondness! Then received Christmas cards for years after. Now have the belly but the dance eludes me !!! 🙏
