Happy Full Wolf Moon.
Winter in my area has been fairly mild, so far. Some snow tonight, but not as much as north of me.
Hoping the weather in Glasgow is navigable for those attending Celtic Connections.
Things have slowed down at work, which means management has far too much time on their hands.
The long term forecast shows winter weather may finally take over from the mild weather we've been having. This week will still be mild, then much colder weather and more snow.
Not many changes from last month with my parents. Which is not all bad. The mild weather has been helpful for my mother, since she pretty much does all the barn chores.
It's a good thing we keep Christmas fairly low key, as I was quite sore. My stepfather is hanging in there, but I worry he may be getting tired of all the side effects from the meds that are slowing the cancer. He goes for a scan next week. If only there were miracles that could fix him, but sadly that is something that rarely if ever happens in reality. Still holding out hope he gets at least another summer. I'm not looking forward for my mother, who has never lived completely on her own before, to be the only human in the house. She does have her dogs, barn cats, and will be keeping two of their horses for as long as she can. She's also not that far away and we have a good friend who lives near by. Still, wish I could retire, would make things so much easier. However, that won't be happening for quite a few more years.
Guy is doing well and was spared the annual Happy New Years photo. He's an expensive pet, but I really enjoy my weekend barn time.
Other than that still dealing with the accident I had the misfortune to be involved in. Have to make sure to get all the bills to the insurance company to make sure everything gets paid correctly. I'm covered fairly well and my insurance is going after the guy who actually hit me. Will be up to him to go after the guy he swerved to miss. Who, unfortunately, did not have insurance.
At least, I'm feeling largely better. Quick movements aren't as bad, but still remind me it happened. Much as it could have been worse, it also was totally avoidable by both other parties. The investigating officer told me the only way I could avoid it was not be there. Sure, tell me now.
Here's to as Happy 2020 as possible!
