I would include the SNP in that as they continue to look for ways to be different to England instead of trying find a collective response

This is the problem with voting a business man. Especially a particularly selfish one, leader of a country. They only see numbers and money. People, especially the 'common' people mean absolutely nothing to them. We are disposable in their minds. That fool probably believes if enough people die it will bring unemployment down to numbers he can brag about. So, it's no big surprise he's more concerned about image than people.
It probably boggles his mind that the creator of the polio vaccine gave it away for free, as saving people was more important to him than profit. Whereas Trump and big Pharma are trying to figure out how much people will pay to live. OK, they already do this with how much they charge for, especially, cancer medicines and such that not only don't cost that much to make, but most of the research that develops them is tax paid at universities.
I can only hope that Canada or Mexico will vaccinate Americans, because I'm not sure I would trust a vaccine from an American company that has the Trump family as a stockholder.
On a side note, it's interesting seeing interviews on the news where some bars and restaurants are paying their employees while they are forced to close and which ones think the government should pay them to pay employees while they are closed.
Humanity is doomed unless we lose this "Greed is Good" attitude.

........... On a side note, it's interesting seeing interviews on the news where some bars and restaurants are paying their employees while they are forced to close and which ones think the government should pay them to pay employees while they are closed. Humanity is doomed unless we lose this "Greed is Good" attitude. I firmly believe that 99% of humans are good. Where I work (unpaid), paid staff will be paid if they "self isolate" they are trusted not to abuse the trust. Where bars and restaurants aren't paying staff, it's more likely to be a large Corporate Chain with a Corporate Policy, or where the owner simply does not have the cash flow to enable it themselves, of course there are exemptions, but generally small businesses are a "family" with the employees. No one wants to cause harm or suffering to people, most want to hold on to good employees like gold dust and retain the rest. No one wants or enjoys instability of staff, it makes no sense. "Greed is Good" is probably more of a USA thing than this side of the pond, unless you are referring to big Corporates. Humans are good

"And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still and listened more deeply.
Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. "And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
"And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed."

this is not an easy watch remember what we do today will affect what happens in 14 days time action is needed yesterday The whole thing is heartbreaking. Especially, as there are still a lot of people that really don't realize what is going on, or how serious this really is. Mostly, as it hasn't directly effected them yet. Even so, they all have lots of toilet paper all of a sudden. The whole shutting down much of the world for a couple of weeks is not so much to stop it, as to stop it's rapid spread. As that video shows, there are no countries really prepared for such a pandemic. A friend of mine was sent home from work today with no idea when she'll go back. As for me, I have the wrong job, as goods need to move no matter what. That said, I'm not sure how busy we will be. With a lot of actual non essential stores closing for a couple of weeks, we could actually end up really busy. Then it's a matter of us staying healthy and not spreading it. Could get interesting in the coming weeks. We can't blame China, any place that has wildlife at markets or even hunting, puts us at risk. In the states a lot of deer hunters cause problems with bait stations, which draw a large amount of deer into a small area, against how they would normally live. So far, none of the issues that have been caused by that has had a virus jump to humans, but perhaps a matter of time. It's a joke that the bait stations are illegal during hunting season, but are allowed the entire rest of the year. Stupid.

In Germany they are preparing for the crisis by stocking up on sausage and cheese. That’s the wurst käse scenario. Thanks, you have just made Brexit seem good 🤨
