Agreed! Bought a ticket straightaway. I have always admired the line up from afar, but could never afford a fortnight in Glasgow in January, paying for accommodation and everything. This year I can join in on the fun!

I also bought it straight away for £30. Great line up too and looking forward to some discoveries in January lockdown evenings when we should really be at Celtic Connections club nights in the art school building. Amira Kheir, Eddie Reader, Rhiannon Giddens all brilliant. Any other recommendations ?

I'm thinking about it. Won't be able to watch it all live, but it seems it can be watch afterwards to help with those of us in way different time zones. I'm off the first week, so less of a problem. Aside from being when I should be doing other things.
Oh, and Blazing Fiddles are great! Saw them at the Bigton Hall and the Foy Concert at the Shetland Hotel at the Shetland Folk Festival last year. Ooo, and Elephant Sessions, I think I saw them at The Mareel and of course the Foy concert.
Ah, the days you could go anywhere and do anything, may we be able to do that safely again soon. Here's to science and hopefully vaccines that do all they are promised to do..

Oh, has anyone considered the Rover option? It would be quite a bit more for me, as there seems to be no dollar option there, but figured I'd ask the experts.

We have never gone for the rover option as it's never been value for money for us. I does save money if you physical go to something every night

Booked my ticket. A cracking looking line up with Rachel Newton and Karine Polwart immediately grab my attention.
Gone for the Rover ticket. Why the hell not. Should keep me busy for a number of evenings

Happy New Year forummers. I’m looking forward to Friday eve CC first gig. TV gigs have been rare over the past year. I have a chromecast which plugs into the back of the tv. About £30. Means you can watch the action on tv. The essential opening and closing of the hi hat, glass of malt in hand. Looking at the programme there are fringe events like workshops on zoom but these are not included in the general pass. I can’t see how I’m going to get to see everything. And at the end of it it’ll be spring, we’ll all be vaccinated and Trump will be gone. Ha, wishful thinking.

The Duncan Chisholm set was wonderful.
We are playing a bit of catch up tonight, enjoying most of what online and at least we can skip the section we don't take too

The first week has been very enjoyable, there have been few acts we have skip through and only one night we passed on everything.
The bulk of the world music content is in the first week which is disappointing.
Getting a festival pass was definitely great value for money.

Now it’s over I can say it was certainly a good £30 worth. The main thing is I made some discoveries which were:- Blue Rose Code, the guy from Portobello, some lovely heartfelt songs. Georgia Cecile. Fergus Mcready Trio. Some others I can’t remember. Lots of stuff I already expected to be good too like Sonah Jobarteh, Rhiannon Giddens. Vent du Nord. Amira Kheir didn’t get a good crack of the whip. Im not mad keen on too many diddleydidee bands without vocalists. I was happy with the Gaelic but some Glaswegians needed subtitles !😆 I would have liked slightly more onscreen info as I couldn’t remember the names of artists. Peat n Diesel were on at Hebcelt in ‘18. I see that is cancelled for ‘21 and Knockengorroch is put back too. Online festivals seem to becoming the norm. Keep safe you lot. I’m just off for my jab, being an old git. How about a whisky party on a funicular ?
