I know it's stupid and the forecast in this country can't be relied upon for more than just a few days ahead, but I always start looking at the long range forecast around weeks before the start of Womad.
The Met Office is saying that it's likely to be dry and warm:
Saturday 23rd July - Saturday 6th August Settled conditions are likely to extend more widely across the whole country towards the end of July and into the start of August. However, periods of cloud and rain remain likely in the northwest. Temperatures will perhaps trend widely above average for most initially, especially across the south. England and Wales may see some very warm or even hot periods. It is likely to return closer to normal towards the end of the period, but the south may still experience some warm or very warm periods.
Let's hope they're right!

Usually to soon to be thinking about an accurate weather forecast but this time I think the forecasts may be right. Plenty of slip slap slop and a large water bottle will be the essentials

We can safely predict there will be weather with frequent showers, mainly at the end of the day before turning in for the night.

Cordless jack hammer for the tent pegs insertion, solar powered air con, and it could be too hot for my hat.

Yeah, not going to really look until the weekend before, with the understanding that weather predictions are more like weather guesses.

I packed my backpack today - I know, but I'm like that! - and had to make some harsh decisions as to what to remove as it was too heavy for me now! So out came my chair, solar lights etc. I have left my wellies packed, but would love to leave them behind, so please arrange for there to be just very light rain overnight, dry during the day and, for me, 22C is plenty....
