I find the more prepared for rain I am, the less rain usually happens, usually. If it does rain, being prepared makes it less of a problem. Have been keeping an eye on the forecast, and it's too early to get excited by the latest weather guess, but it sure it better than the one from several days ago. I am so unprepared to leave in less than a week!

Seriously perfect weather forecast for Womad this year- sunny intervals, gentle breezes, 24C high daytime 13C low night time. I have repacked - wellies out, chair back in. Content now!

I'm thinking I'll most likely be curled up sleeping in the shade of a tree, having spent my energy on Friday! I like the covered dining area in the arena - that made eating comfy and it was a lovely atmosphere to eat in. Hope you'll come to the 6pm meet, if the shiny things along the way let you! x

There’s a bit of a difference between 24* on BBC weather and 30* on Metcheck, Accuweather has 27* tops and Rain on the Sunday! Confusion!

We've had no rain here in SN16 for ages. We get the occasional forecasts of showers and thunderstorms, but always seem to miss them. All the grass is dried up and ground is rock hard, so you might need extra strong tent pegs and a pneumatic drill!

Can I safely remove my ‘over trousers’ from my packing? I have a packamac and overshoes - do I even need those?

Cordless jack hammer for the tent pegs insertion, solar powered air con, and it could be too hot for my hat. Dang no over trousers Bloohair!! I have sharpened my tent pegs on a grinder, but if we had a carpet and some of Hot Drummer' stash he got robbed of by the fuzz we could levitate on the carpet, pegs not needed.

Just listened to the R4 Farming 5day forecast. High pressure on Wednesday moves to the East with cloudier weather moving in from the West. Could be showers on Thursday and Friday. The BBC TV local forecast did not mention showers at the end of the week but indicated possible showers on Sunday.
Over trousers staying home but packing light waterproofs to take.

We may need a sledgehammer to get the tent pegs in. Or one of those giant Ground Screws with pneumatic propulsion! If you have round pegs, mason drill bit smaller than your pegs. You do want them to grip a bit if it gets windy.

Last forcast I looked at, had rain Sunday Morning, clearing in the afternoon. With only small chances of rain any of the other days. Darn weather guessers just can't make up their minds.
