Hello folks, just wondering how you get the WiFi password. I haven't bothered with it since Reading but I've downloaded the app and thought I might give it a go again.

Three years ago, I think you just registered on the Wi-Fi site and then had access for the weekend. Signal was only strong enough to be effective in the early morning, before everyone else started to log on.

Those damn pesky kids and their socials Saw a teen in a restricted area at Yellowstone, because she could get a signal close to falling off a cliff and adding to the erosion problem that had it fenced off in the first place. Is it wrong that it wouldn't have bothered me if she had fallen off the cliff?

Have to say the reception for O2 was pretty diabolical. In some ways possibly a good thing as it stop me looking up footie score updates. Somehow still manage to meet my little group
First time season has started during WOMAD due to some bright spark giving the World Cup to Qatar.

I found the WiFi worked ok near the d&b tent, and was non-existent near Siam. Not ideal but at least you could always get WiFi after a short walk if you really needed it.

the wifi was patchy all over the site and we noticed the automatic log in was turned off on Sunday, given the location of the site there would be the same levels of mobile reception as in most urban areas which means a high demand for the WOMAD wifi.
next year we plan to bring some tin cans and lots of string

I was hoping the public wi-fi signal would have been given an extra boost this year, but no. However, I can understand the importance of the ‘private’ wi-fi signal to ensure the bars, caterers and traders could continue taking card payments. The signal was fine for early morning and was the best time to catch up on the app. Absolutely not worth relying on the app throughout the day and best to go back to good old pen and paper

I never tried to use the Wifi, I had a great 4g signal all weekend. I largely gave up and just used my phones plan, which charges $10 a day to use for international travel and limits high speed data to .5 gig a day. Thursday and maybe Friday morning were the only days I received WiFi at my Podpad.

I didn't have any problem at all - I am now wondering why! 🤔
