Does anyone know when we can expect the first announcement? I can't remember from previous years when it was.... Thanks! Last year it was announced on Wednesday 28 February. So, I'm going to guess if he sticks with Wednesdays 22 Feb or 1 Mar. In anyway, should be soon. 😀 |

Received the email as well. Excited to find out. I have not been to Womad since 2018, but am signed up for this year - as an Oxfam volunteer.

Midday to be precise. 2018 was also my last womad... hardly missed a year since 1994. I don't think they did emails then. Hope to make it back sooner rather than later...

Well wild stab in the dark that mr Gabriel might make an appearance this year…..
Other than that acts who are touring this summer who I’d love to see at WOMAD: Rodrigo y Gabriela, Manu Chao, Bjork…

Other than that acts who are touring this summer who I’d love to see at WOMAD: Rodrigo y Gabriela, Manu Chao, Bjork… We have also been wondering if PG would take to the stage, but we think it may depend of on how many tickets he sold for his UK tour, he may still play but he won't be in the first announcement, on the other hand he may want to boost WOMAD ticket sales either way their going to need a bigger arena (last time he played they moved the main stage back to allow for a bigger crowd. Bjork would be cool |

Just had a run through all artists in the first announcement and excited about almost all of them. Such a good selection, of the ones I have already heard of, pleased to see them listed (especially Paprika who have wanted to see for a while) and the others all sound pretty good and interesting. Gonna be a good one but on the downside, looks like there will be a lot of clashes.
As an aside, don’t know why I am still not getting emails - are others missing being notified?
