Full Harvest Moon Greetings! Last of the super moons this year.
Hope everyone was able to enjoy it. It was beautiful to see here.
The current state of weather events around the world is amazing. Flooding is taking place over the fires in the news. The weather where I am has been actually really nice. It's been about 30C the last few days and around 15C at night. The fall cool down is coming later in the week after some rain on Thursday, but still not bad. Then again, I like it a little cooler.
I see people are anxious to plan their next years WOMAD, but there is plenty of time yet.
Still not sure what I am, or am not doing next year.
Peter released another song, This is Home and is currently touring North America. I saw him in Chicago for a filled to the rafters show at the United Center. It was an amazing show and all the new songs sound the best live! He has gotten into corny grandpa jokes.
He'll be wrapping up this tour well before the end of Octorber.
Had a good visit with my Brother and Niece. Took them to the Old Joliet Prison for their After Dark tour. They loved it. We also got the added atmosphere of them doing try outs or rehearsals for the Haunted House they host in the Old Women's prison across the street, with haunting noises and voices while we toured in the dark.
Before that I took a short trip to visit some of the Native American history sites in Illinois. Plan to do some more of that at the end of this month, when I have a bit more vacation/holiday time. Also, will be doing more home projects and just getting ready for winter.
Parents are doing well, but Step Father doesn't always remember his age. Instead of stopping his project when he was feeling tire, he ended up falling from a ladder. Thankfully short distance, about 3 feet, but landed his elbow on some jagged concrete, and 24 stitches, 10 internal 14 external, later and a couple of weeks of antibiotics, he will be fine. Mom is not happy, because, well, she told him so. She's happy he wasn't more seriously hurt.
Guy is doing well and enjoying that I'm too busy to ride him. With the cooler weather coming he'll be getting fewer to no baths, but he won't be needing them as much.
