Sorry to hear of your loss Beef.
Back in the zone this week after last week off work, off the computer (so off the forum) and largely off the diet. Decided to give myself a week of being good before I weigh again. I have a birthday to contend with in the intervening days though... I'm not expecting great things, waist-line wise.

Never mind Mr Beef, you had more important things going on than dieting.

Don't have a scale, can I just say, 'don't fit yet?' BTW you guyz (if you are in a group we call everyone guyz ) cheat using stones, from this side doesn't sound so bad.

15st 8lbs today, so down another 1lb. It was down to around 15st 7lbs on Thursday (I think) morning so I probably need to be looking at being more active over the weekend

This recipe was really delicious: Slow-cooked bbq gammon Serves: 4 ( there was enough for six of my sized portions)Prep time: 30 minutes Ready in: 60+ mins Syns per serving:FREE Ingredients 1.2kg boneless gammon joint, all fat removed 2 onions, thinly sliced 3 peppers (green, yellow and red), diced 1 carton of passata 4 tbsp tomato puree 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp mustard powder 2 tsp smoked paprika 6 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 6 tbsp balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp soy sauce 6 tbsp granulated sweetener zest of 1 orange Method Place the gammon in a large saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Boil for 12 minutes before tipping the water away and repeating the process twice more with fresh water. This is to remove excessive saltiness in the gammon. Remove the gammon and place on a chopping board. Cover the bottom of the slow cooker with the sliced onions and diced peppers and sit the gammon on top. Add all of the other ingredients to the slow cooker and cook on medium for 5-6 hours. The gammon is ready when it falls apart when pulled with two forks. When it's ready, pull the entire gammon ensuring that the sauce is fully incorporated. This was really good, Jax, despite Steve forgetting both the orange zest and soy sauce when he cooked it! Tried cooking half quantity as there are just 2 of us now the girls have all left home. Had it on Sunday with rice & salad, leftovers tonight with baked potatoes, and it has also done us two days of sandwiches and Steve is finishing the rest off in beans on toast tomorrow. The flavour has got better and better through the week

The flavour has got better and better through the week I'm so glad you both tried it Helen. I make the full amount and then portion it up and freeze it. In fact, I had it tonight! Slimming World recipes are proving to be very tasty!

Morning SC. My target weight is 12 stone. The charts would probably say that was a bit too heavy, but I tend to get a bit gaunt in the face if I drop too far below that. I last weighed 12st 9lbs in August last year, so wouldn't have been much less at Womad last year. The year before I would have been nearer 12 stone, so really I'm just undoing the damage that my peanut butter on toast consumption has caused in the intervening months of lousy 2015!! IF you had been coming to Womad ....and if you'd seen me at the meet up ..... you wouldn't have noticed anything different about me...........
