BBC Radio3 'World on 3' from Friday night is worth a listen - Aziza Brahim. Ana Moura, Jamie Smith's Mabon, Breabach, The Gloaming, amongst others, plus a splash of Keith Emerson at the end! Also liked the sound of studio guest British-Iraqi singer Alya Marquard and her band - fusion of Iraqi folk songs and jazzy stuff. Would very much like to see her at Womad.  |
