Played in honour of one of the world's greatest guitarists EVER and inventor of the Electric Guitar, on what would have been his 104th Birthday. The Great Les Paul. Attachment Deleted

Thought I'd go back to a band I saw 3 times, the lead singer owes me a pint ....... but I ain't gunns get it now! I abandoned them when they got a recording contract and the lead singer gave up "emotion" and tried proper singing, an album I probably haven't heard for 40 years ... I give you

Beautiful, soft rain. Falling unseen in the dark, it's otherwise quite outside. The occasional car has no choice but to ride through the wet white noise with uncommon softness, raging rpm redundant. The sound of the rain soothes like no other, leaving the meaningless blur of noise to the dry, prosaic day. This isn't just rain... it's Marks and Spencer's rain...

I'm not listening to any music right now, just sniffing it.... got a few Real World CDs in the post today from last week's amazing "World Music Day" 1/2 price offer. Over the years I've bought quite a few CDs direct from Real World - and I've always loved the smell - they have an earthy, straw-like smell, which I guess comes from one of the buildings at Real World Studios where they're stored, or maybe even Peter Gabriel's garden shed? The smell always reminds me of being at Womad, particularly the old Womad record store which was wonderful to browse in quieter moments and crazy-busy after popular performances. I used to love that place from Thursday evening through to the end of Sunday night, finding musical treasures old and new. Can't make Womad this year, but this takes me right back to those days....

Gully Boy - Various Artist from the sound track to the movie Gully Boy which is available on Amazon Prime. Its a direct rip off of 5 mile but HEY! I enjoyed the film so I'm listening to the soundtrack.

Been listening to Kate Tempestโs new album The Book Of Traps And Lessons, utterly brilliant, so brutal and honest it hurts, sheโs like the child of a great night between Lou Reed and Patti Smith,
