Listening to Fergus McCreadie who I discovered thanks to Celtic Connections. His album 'Cairn' is amazing.
Another new discovery is Ben De La Cour - album 'Shadow Land'.

Doing the staycation thing trying to organize. Have realized not having the time is not the whole problem. Anyway, decided to listen to some cd's I haven't even opened yet, on the old CD changer. Turns out there are some CD's still in it. Just in case search: Matthew Sweet / Devil with the Green Eyes

... just heard a car drive past blaring out Blondie's "Heart of Glass" - the bit in the middle where Debbie Harry is going "Ooh, oh, ooh, oh" - only lasted a couple of seconds, but was great!

I'm not actually listening to anything but the wind and rain, which is doing it's best to drown out the terrible, deafening racket of rabid, hectoring, over-excited Tories, barking like a pack of dogs at the approaching prospect of so-called "freedom day"... I find it hard to keep my words polite. So I will stop here... but all the bags of fucking dog shit hanging from any fence on any country path have more wisdom, sense and integrity than those... whoops.. that slipped out... sorry... yay, freedom day.

After a bad afternoon I resorted to Tubular Bells, Oldfield was 19 when he wrote it, reminds me of 6th form, one of those long haired types always with an album under an arm, it was a long hot summer. Everyday was freedom day, girls, beers, music, motorcycles; not all at same time. Now Im on to Oxygene, maybe when trance appeared in the 90s it reminded of those days.

After a few hectic days camping in Lleyn I’m realaxing listening to the Global Underground transmissions www.facebook.com/groups/WOMADcommunity/permalink/1980704655427229/on my super duper wireless headphones. Some nice stuff incl. Nusrat F A K, Buena V S C. Etc. Gotta go and dry the tent which got rained on yesterday. It was a test run for Womad 2022 which I bought tickets for in 2019.
