The arboretum won't necessary be closed until the rest of the arena opens (only usually 2pm on Thursday - open from 10am onwards the rest of the days!). The routes between the arboretum and the main arena will still be bottlenecks and will still be crossing the road, so it will still be possible to isolate the arboretum before and after hours if that's how they want to play it. And as for the Open Air being a thoroughfare, they had the same set up of Siam, Open Air and Charlie Gillett Stage (then the Saddlespan..or Village Stage?) all in one line in 2007, the year of the mud. I don't recall there being thoroughfare issues then, although by Saturday that was probably the least of our worries. Hello all. Site Map !, it'll be webby next !! Yes jimhxn, it's reminiscent of '07 Womud but the crowds were thin at the mainstage at times due to mud. Will there be music in the Arbouretum as a diversion from the north side of the arena where it seems, most of the music will be happening? I'm hoping there'll be water in the arena........and a pissoir. And a new diversion I see, Tree Climbing, reminiscent of my youth. How about a Thurs eve meet up at the Golden Lion? I seem to remember the real ale bar being a bit expensive. Any other topics? Oh yes, the weather. Sunshine is booked.

The tree climbing was introduced last year but sadly was only operational for a short time as weather conditions forced it to be closed. This year we will have much better weather so plenty of tree climbing to be had.

Here we go then:
There we have it. No worries!

we have only one major concern about the new layout and that's the main stage will be at the top of a slop and we never like venues like that as the small people in the crowd struggle even more to see
once we have a look at it in real life then we will know for sure

I think it looks like an improvement for R3 stage, less of a thoroughfare. Hopefully not too much noise from the steam fair !

I'd still like the steam fair to be outside the arena; nearer the Children's & Teens area, though I doubt this would suit grown-up kids!

Does anyone know what the deal with the Golden Lion is? Is this replacing Craft Ale bar or just a rename?
The Craft Ale bar did seem rather empty at times last year and I note its disapperance

One thing to note is that Festival Camping and Family Camping are transposed. Dell, Beanstew, Desert Traveller, we need to sort out where to go...

I asked the Womad pixies over in Twittershire about the lack of water points on the map in arena and arboretum. They replied saying there were "too many to mark up, we decided to leave them out" so that sounds more hopeful

Pretty much made our minds up to pitch somewhere more towards the Family Camping side of Park and Camp rather than the area abutting Festival Camping.

Dell, Beanstew, Desert Traveller, we need to sort out where to go... it was the same last year and not many families could be bother to trek all the way to the family camping area we plan to camp in the same area as last year unless anyone has a better suggestion
