we have only one major concern about the new layout and that's the main stage will be at the top of a slop and we never like venues like that as the small people in the crowd struggle even more to see once we have a look at it in real life then we will know for sure Yep, that's me unable to see for yet another year then. I think I should get reduced price tickets or spaces at the front should be reserved for shortarses like me.

hover shoes great idea, I was going to suggest standing on a small box, but hover shoes wins hands down. well I wouldn't suggest doing hands down with hover shoes on unless you are an expert.... it could get messy....

One of those little folding steps - weighs nothing to carry around; very handy for seeing; not so good for dancing though...... mine's enjoying its third Womad this year So; we can pe-order programmes now if we want to....... handier for us to pick up once camped up and have somewhere to keep it weather and crease safe...... it is a souvenir for us, not a timetable in use throughout the weekend.....

But the Open Air Stage is where the CG stage used to be...what slope are you talking about??

There is a slight incline sloping away from the stage; it isn't in any way steep, Jim, but does put the (shorter members of the) audience at a disadvantage over a level area.

I'm sure we'll cope with the slight slope - hover shoes, pogo sticks, platform wellies and booster steps 'n' all!

There's also the wide smile and cheery ask " could I sit on your shoulders, please"
