Womad 2016 Fancy Dress

Hello lovely Womaders! 

I thought i'd put the idea of a bit of fancy dress out there and see if we have any takers!

Each year few of us dream up a loose fancy dress theme for the Saturday of Womad. This year we're paying homage to the master of reinvention David Bowie 

Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Thin White Duke, or something more cryptic like a song title or Bowie lyric.

And if you get to the site and realise you don't have an outfit, just bring out all your layers of clothing and go as Changes.

Anyway looking forward to Womad and hopefully see some new faces in Bowie-dress!

Hi Oscar, thanks for the heads up - didn't know this was happening; sounds fun(looking forward to seeing some spiders from Mars) and we'll look out for you. Hubby is more into illumination and has been planning and making his night time outfit for months now, so we'll be keeping to plan this year, but who knows for next?! Please let us know early next year!

Sorry Oscar Del doesn't do fancy dress and tell be sticking to his tie dye, kilt and sideburns and at night he tends to glow a little

How about t-shirts with "Stand up for your right to stand up!" - printed on the back? The bit of Womad that grieves me the most, addressed silently and stylishly...

I'm with you on that Beef. I make myself unpopular by standing. The enlightened artists say 'come on everybody, stand and dance'.
