Good to know he has found safe sanctuary. Maybe, something was happening yesterday with doorsteps, we were leaving our house and nearly trod on a young wood pigeon! it was just sitting on the doorstep by our front door. I presume it came from the wood pigeon nest in the back garden. I went off got a box to pop it in and carry back to it's nest, but when I tried to pick it up, it simply flew off. Clearly it was just fledging and was having a bit of a rest

Just wondering CnD, did the little solder ever find his way back to his troops?

We found a plastic duck in the road we named him Jeffrey he goes to Womad and if he is very good Corfu several years later we found another duck in the road this one was a green duck which as you know is the colour of India's flag so we called it Jeffindar - Mrs Smurf thinks they should be Wedded so Jeffinder is now chastened in the bathroom cabinet awaiting a suitable dowry although good look with that as she is rather plain looking
