Did anyone have any real lipsmackingkly good food this year because although there were lots of stalls, I am struggling to think of anything ( other than Shepherds ice cream) that was memorable! Perhaps it was because I wasn't feeling good and didn't have much appetite? Steve says his stand out meal was a crumpet with melted Brie and chilli jam. Be interested to know what you lot recommend for next year!

It's not the most exciting of foods but I thought the cheese toastie stall with the sourdough bread was great for lunch and it only cost a fiver.

Not food, but I think the Shelterbox (Origins) Coffee deserves a mention #betterthanfood

The Proper Coffee stall did the best soya latte! I visited at least once a day.

The best food was in my tent according to my Womad partner Rachel. I did notice that several stalls had increased their prices to £9 from £7 in 2013. We ate from far East noodles, The veg thai green curry was good £6.80, based on a Beanstew recommendation but the next day the stir fried noodles were not very hot and in small quantity.
I like the tiny tea tent for ambience and fresh filter coffee, best cake was in the Tea Garden which was open until quite late and not too busy.

the cheese toasties stall was good for a late night snack too
the nomad caravan wraps are always a hit with us as is passion for juice which has the colourful pineapple on top and was in the row of shops outside the arena
sadly we couldn't find any cheese cake this year and Del felt there was less choice of food traders this year

...for the mac'n'cheese, burnt beans, pulled pork with BBQ sauce: www.phoenixsomerset.org.uk/passion-smoke/were fab; delicious, filling; just the job; great portions for £6. Having said that, the festival food prices generally have now got silly and we are leaning more and more, year on year, to taking our own breakfast and snacks. There is, I think, a great gap in the market for such as the Ethiopian food stall which was there a couple of years ago which kept running out of food; a plateful of absolute num for £5 and it could have sold out at least three times over....... we miss them!

I loved that Ethiopian stall - my all time WOMAD favourite.
Nomad caravan - thanks for the reminder - yes their food was the best this year.
There seemed to be a lot of traders but too many rather bland curries and wraps... we had one wrap but it leaked, as they always do, and most of it ended up down our fronts and on the ground.
We took our own breakfast this year and think we will be taking more of our own food this year

Curry goat at The Shack, didn't want anything else apart from my own homemade flapjacks and Shepherd's chocolate icecream with marachino cherries.

Curry goat from The Shack was the meal I made a beeline for on Thursday evening! After all these years I still haven't got round to trying out the Shepherd's icecream... Hopefully I'll have one next year

Del also felt the range of Ales in the real ale tent was lacking this year but after last years mum may be they didn't want to risk having too many casks left over at the end of the weekend
