Banner Advertisements

I have no control over them.
In that I do not approve nor disapprove any that may show up on your screen.

Proboards has been good over the years not having obnoxious pop-ups and such, but I have no control over the banner ads that show up on this forum.

I will only add, I won't be clicking on any political ads whatsoever.

Did someone complain Zenrider? As with many "free" sites the Ads are the way that Proboards make money and keep forums like this free for us. . . I only find the ads annoying in that they can make the pages load more slowly. . . but otherwise I hardly notice them.

No, no one has complained.
Normally the ads have some kind of relevance to searches I've made. Recently, I've been noticing more political ads popping up and figured it was time for a disclaimer of sorts. Especially as, I have no idea what ads are popping up on your side of the pond.

I've only just looked - just now it's a Mazda car advert. . . nothing to do with anything I've searched for. I've noticed these "targeted" ads appearing on many sites.

Had a Mazda commercial earlier too. Have looked at cars, not Mazda, as VW will be buying mine back in early November. Yes, I had one of 'those' TDI's.

From what it seems, I think they may do a bit of both. As it is possible to advertise specifically at one forum or another. And yes, they need to sell advertisement space or take money for ad-free to cover costs and make money. More importantly have not issues with that and thank everyone who does not use an ad-blocker program. However, I did have a political ad yesterday that I definitely would not approve of, given a choice.

In that, if politicians want to buy space on this forum that is fine, but I want the members of the Full Moon Pub to understand that those advertisements does not mean that I endorse or otherwise support them.
