Those were the days... years rather than decades between albums...

Still not sure how to listen to PG's music anymore... even when I'm not listening, it's the elephant in my music collection... I tried listening in recent times again after a long abstinence but I just get a sort of uncomfortablely bored indifference to it... even tried the German III & IV... which are also different mixes & edits... but given how much I used to love everything PG did leaves me feeling sad... is this it? Or maybe I just need the 180g half-speed vinyl...

... just listening to the Uscita compilation, and quite enjoying it...
... just logged into my Womad/Realworld account and although my account is still there, it doesn't hold any orders or downloads. . . thought they would still be there?
. . . just wondering when the "US 25th Anniversary" stuff will appear?. . . probably a bit early yet.

Peter's been releasing Rockpalast stuff fairly regularly, but figured this might be more notable for some.

Wouldn't be a big surprise, but perhaps YouTube money will be enough for this one. YouTube may be a better way for him to find some new young fans. DVD's attract a far smaller audience.

More new old stuff... petergabriel.com/news/live-albums-on-streaming/I understand it's appeal and convenience but I am not into streaming - you're at the mercy of the record company deals with the streaming service, the quality of the internet connection etc etc... I used to love watching out for new releases, scouring music shops for hard-to-find music... streaming kills the fun and the music shops. Anyway... This reminds me - a while ago I ripped the audio from the Back 2 Front DVD so that I could listen to it on headphones without a DVD player. The highlight for me is the otherwise unreleased track "Why Don't You Show Yourself" and I hadn't noticed until I listened on headphones that between 1:02 and 1:08 the quality of the audio suddenly changes to something more like an audience recording - ie not very good. And then from 1:08 it's ok again. To start with I thought it was something to do with my ripped audio, but when I looked at the waveform of that section I could see the quite clumsy edit that had been made to the DVD audio, which, now I know it's there, I can hear on the DVD itself. Just wondered if anyone (aka Zenrider) had noticed this? And whether the same glitch appeared on the audio CD that came with the expensive box set?
