Wouldn't it figure, they are playing Reggie's in Chicago, nice intimate setting, and I may be elsewhere visiting an old friend. They are a double feature with Consider The Source. Hmmm, might be able to see the Wednesday show and fly out Thursday, hmmmmm.

Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI. To watch two old farts cavort around from the top of the hill. Hoping to run into a few other Lunartics that disappeared with the old FMC forum there. Hopefully, I can make it to WOMAD one of these years, but that could be a couple of years from now. Mostly, as how we pick vacations at work, some more guys are going to have to retire before I can get time off around WOMAD, UK. However, I am happy to live WOMAD vicariously through all of you.

Moderated myself into a different thread. I can't do the whole festival, besides the old farts in the evening, should be able to hear some good music all day Sunday. www.summerfest.com/

So that's $20? I'm confused. Perhaps there's an extra discount because Paul McCartney is on the line up?

$20 to get into the general parts and open venues of the Fest. The headliners cost more for particular venues within the fest, but general admission is included with those tickets. Those playing in the Marcus Amphitheater, where the two old farts are playing, charge the most.
Still, overall not a bad deal. The lawn tickets, including general admission are about $60.

so.. . the $60 lawn ticket is what you've got to see "the two old farts"? And you can see everything else, from the lawn? As you say, not a bad deal. . .

Can't see everything from the lawn in the Marcus Amphitheater, but can wander around the place all day. Map of the venue. Kind of hard to see on a small screen, but gives you a general idea. summerfest.com/grounds-map/It's no WOMAD, no camping, but lots of music. Just hope they've fixed the problem with the pavilion behind to the left of the Amphitheater, because the first year they used that the sound bled over horribly.

OK, made it to the hotel. Spent a little time in the pub. Talked to Rev Bob yesterday, still have an extra ticket...but I'm sure that will sort itself in the end.

As mentioned elsewhere, am going to The Outlaw Music Festival at Summerfest 2017, which also has the largest lineup! A festival in a festival. Here's the line up on July 9th: FEATURING Willie Nelson & Family Bob Dylan and His Band Sheryl Crow Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Margo Price Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real Read more: fullmoonpub.proboards.com/thread/116/next-gig?page=32#ixzz4fHHF4Tz1Now to find the free general ticket they were handing out, if I didn't give it away, so I can wander around on Saturday and catch some of the general acts. Which can often be very good. Might as well make a weekend of it.

Going to try to put this all in one thread so it looks a bit less like an advertisement.
