So there is this lady who is preloading at family gatherings - spends half an hour in the toilet looked after really well - drops a few glasses whatever - Gets up to dance face plant - I have an open mind on this situation so avoiding the obvious what should I be looking at - |

Unless you are a good friend, then just be ready to catch her when she falls. Sadly, until she decides she has a problem, you will not be able to convince her otherwise. However, sometimes some video evidence may help, just does not need to be publicly disclosed. Or just get trashed with her, then you won't notice her antics being that outrageous.  |

Done the trashed thing at my Dad's passing - She talks like a 3 month old when she is pissed not really going to get anywhere with that one - Any way's we have all known her for about 30 years everyone loves her to bits she lives with my brother who is captain of a golf club and has had his photo taken with prince Philip etc. I know there is a trigger with people but is there a trigger that make them just slow down all of us drink far less than we did when we where 20 |

If there is one thing I have learnt from watching too many American sitcoms and cartoons is that you all get together and do an intervention. Sounds a terrible idea but it does give the opportunity for everyone to tell the facts and what is best, rather than just one person, with best intentions, risking losing a friendship if she chooses not to listen.
On the other hand I would be distraught to think all my friends and loved ones had been talking about me and making plans behind my back but maybe that is what is needed.
