Been running around, so running a day late. It seems Spring has sprung. We could use a good rain to help the trees grow their leaves, but no complaints now that the weather is warming.
After a long weekend with my Mom in Kentucky. Spent Friday at Keeneland, where I lost money on all but one race. That race I pikced the right horse to place a place bet on as my $5 turned into $81 and made up for the lost bets and paid for about half of what we drank. Bottled water was $4! a bottle. Crazy, absolutely crazy. Beer was $9. Ouch. No complaints, as that one horse, Fig Jelly did good enough for me and my place bet.
Could have been better if I had gone with a few of my almost bets and the one time I shouldn't have changed my mind. Ah, horse racing.
Spent a nice Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park watching the Cross Country phase of the Kentucky Three Day Four Star. The breeze was a little cold, but the sun was warm. Over all, no complaints for the weekend. Now to try to get things done that need to get done the rest of my vacation. I did take today off.
